Computer Associates eTrust Antivirus Web Scanner - No install needed scan your system for viruses online. This does NOT mean you don't need Antivirus software loaded it will just help you if you don't have one currently. See the link below for my recomendation.

AVG Anti-Virus - A very comprehensive FREE Anti-Virus package. I have been using it for almost 2 years and I am still virus free. It has caught some in the Spam e-mail I recieve and prevented any down time due to a virus.

Ad-aware - A must have if you use any file sharing or other programs downloaded from the internet. This will be sure to help protect your privacy.

Spybot Search & Destroy - Spybot - Search & Destroy can detect and remove spyware of different kinds from your computer. Spyware is a relatively new kind of threat that common anti-virus applications do not yet cover. For more details check out thier site.

Mozilla.org -- Mozilla is my browser of choice on the PC. OK, I keep Internet Explorer around for those really gnarly sites with scripting that won't run on anything but IE. But this browser is more convenient, feels faster, and offers better security.

POP-Up Stopper - Get rid of those annoying Pop-up/Pop-under messages with this great utility.

We-Blocker - Internet filtering software. Protect your family from unwanted web sites.

Winamp and CDex -- My favorite stand-alone MP3 player and my favorite free MP3 encoder (be sure to download the "Current Stable Release").

CD Burner XP Pro - a freeware CD-Writer program. The program can write CD-R and CD-RW discs. It can also write discs directly from an ISO image file, and save image as an ISO image file (*.iso). CDBurnerXP can also erase CD-RW discs. Check out more details on thier site
